Social Skills Summer Horse Camp
Is your child or teen ready for a fun challenge? So many children and teens have struggled with social skills since the lockdown. There is more social anxiety and depression which has led to a lack of understanding of social skills. Research shows that social skills are more important than academic skills to to succeed in school and in life. So many children and teens struggle with following directions, staying off screens, understanding social situations, and protecting themselves from bullies.
HorsePower Tools is an evidence based program that partners children with horses to teach essential emotional and social skills. The skills are Respect, Responsibility, Relationship Skills, Empathy, Boundaries, Choices and Consequences. These skills are shown to help children improve their relationships and their ability to succeed in school.
In this Camp your child or teen will learn how to be responsible, respectful, kind and resilient AND get to practice these skills in a fun and unforgettable way with the horses! Because horses are sensitive and they don't lie, they provide honest and clear feedback to our participants in a way that is truly empowering. Horses will follow only when your child is using the social skills thus providing clear feedback about what works and what doesn’t work.
Many companies looking to hire struggle with finding employees that are responsible, respectful and have good relationship skills. Research shows that these skills (Emotional IQ or EQ) are more important to future success and happiness than IQ! Give your child a leg up!

The Summer Horse Camp is a half day camp (9 am to Noon ) and runs from Monday to Friday
